You drive down a narrow tunnel of trees into a wide area of fairway, but for longer hitters, two strategically placed fairway bunkers come into play. Thereafter the fairway narrows with copses of trees either side, necessitating an accurate second shot into the face of a slick, sloping green with bunkers right and left. Experienced players always try to leave themselves an uphill putt. Locals say “never give a putt on the 5th green”.
