York Golf Club is situated on the outskirts of the village of Strensall. York has a Northern Ring Road (A1237) and a Southern Ring Road (A64).
Whether you are coming from the North, South, East or West find the easiest route to either the A64 or the A1237.
If you are coming from the North down the A19, head East on the A1237 until you reach the roundabout signposted Strensall, then follow the instructions below.
From most other directions it is usually better to go along the A64 to the Hopgrove roundabout and then head West on the A1237 to reach the roundabout signposted Strensall, and then follow the instructions below.
From the A1237 take the road towards Strensall for approximately 2 miles until you reach the village of Strensall and the roundabout at the Six Bells pub. Take the 2nd exit off this roundabout, and continue for a further 1 mile. Then turn left onto Lords Moor Lane (there is a golf club ‘brown sign’ at this junction). The entrance to the Clubhouse is approximately 60 yards on your right.
The Clubhouse car park offers parking for over 100 vehicles, with overflow spaces for a further 20.
York sits on the East Coast Main Line and York Station is just outside the City walls near the City Centre. Taxis are available outside for immediate hire - approximately 6 miles/20 minute ride.
