We finish with a long par 4, usually played into the wind, with a slight dogleg to the right. The cross bunkers which cover half the right side of the fairway challenge the longer hitters, but most take the safer line to the left of them whilst still needing to be careful not to run out of room with trees all the way down the left hand side of the fairway. The slope up to the well-bunkered green catches any underhit second shot, while an overhit one can fall foul of the out of bounds immediately behind the green. The 18th at YGC is genuinely one of the best closing holes around.
