Junior Golf Sixes

The exciting and innovative playing format for juniors getting started in golf.

Here at York Golf Club, we compete in the York Area competition against local clubs such as Fulford GC, The Oaks GC & Tadcaster GC.

Created in 2017 to give young golfers the opportunity to play on the golf course in a format that is fun, team based and suitable for beginners. At York Golf Club this format of golf is attended by a mix of our junior Pre-Blues & Blues.

GolfSixes League involves teams of 6, playing six holes in pairs using the highly inclusive Texas Scramble format. This format is designed for non-handicap players, or WHS handicap players with a handicap of 37 and above. The Golf Foundation has a host of resources and a league management system to support all clubs who are part of a GolfSixes League.
