<p>Competition format 1. Texas Scramble played in teams of three over 18 holes. Play to be from the yellow tees for men, WHS juniors yellow or red tees, red tees for ladies and girls and blue tees for junior Blues, starting from the 1st tee only. 2. Each team’s Playing Handicap (for the purpose of deciding the competition’s results) will be based on the combined total of the course handicaps (based on the Ladies red tees for scoring) after adjustment by the following factors – reduction of Blue handicap by 12 to account for course rating difference then 30% of the lowest course handicap / 20% of the middle course handicap / 10% of the highest course handicap. 3. On each hole, all three players tee off. The team decide which is the best tee shot and the chosen ball is marked (but see point 4. below). All three players, starting with player whose shot has been chosen, then place their balls within 12 inches of that spot (not nearer the hole) and play their next shots from there. This process is repeated for each shot until the green is reached. On the green, the same method is used except that the chosen ball is marked and all three players, again starting with the player whose shot has been chosen, putt from that exact spot. Once a ball is holed, the team’s gross score for the hole is marked on the scorecard. 4. Each player must have a minimum of four tee shots chosen. It must be indicated on the scorecard which player’s tee shot is taken on each hole, by ticking column A, B or C as appropriate. 5. Scores in the competition will NOT be submitted to the World Handicap System for handicap purposes. However, all scorecards must be returned. Procedure in the event of ties All ties will be resolved on the last 9 - 6 - 3 - 1 holes as determined by the computer. (Should this still result in a tie, scores for the last 10 - then 11 then 12 and so on - holes will be counted until a result is achieved.) General competition rules 1.
